QA Automation Engineer – Cloud (GCP)

Summary:
We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer to test and ensure the quality of cloud-native applications hosted on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with test automation, cloud environments, and modern testing frameworks. This role involves working closely with a global team to maintain high standards of software reliability and performance through efficient automated testing processes.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement automated testing strategies for cloud-native applications.

Collaborate with international teams to integrate and streamline testing processes.

Design, create, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.

Utilize testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Analyze test results, report defects, and collaborate with developers for resolution.

Implement cloud-based testing solutions to enhance scalability and efficiency.

Contribute to CI/CD pipelines to improve automation coverage and testing efficiency.

Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, ensuring quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

2+ years of experience in test automation, preferably for cloud-native applications.

Hands-on experience with Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar frameworks.

Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP); exposure to AWS or Azure is a plus.

Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI).

Familiarity with Java, JavaScript, or Python for test scripting.

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Proven ability to work effectively in a distributed/global team environment.

Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
