QA Automation Engineer – Cloud (GCP)

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer to test and ensure the quality of cloud-native applications hosted on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with test automation, cloud environments, and modern testing frameworks. This role involves working closely with a global team to maintain high standards of software reliability and performance through efficient automated testing processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement automated testing strategies for cloud-native applications.

  • Collaborate with international teams to integrate and streamline testing processes.

  • Design, create, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.

  • Utilize testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) to ensure high-quality software delivery.

  • Analyze test results, report defects, and collaborate with developers for resolution.

  • Implement cloud-based testing solutions to enhance scalability and efficiency.

  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines to improve automation coverage and testing efficiency.

  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, ensuring quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in test automation, preferably for cloud-native applications.

  • Hands-on experience with Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar frameworks.

  • Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP); exposure to AWS or Azure is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI).

  • Familiarity with Java, JavaScript, or Python for test scripting.

  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a distributed/global team environment.

  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
