Senior IFS Projects Functional Consultant

What you will do

1. Lead or own functional activities for IFS Projects implementations, upgrades and support engagements.
2. Facilitate requirements and solution design workshops, perform gap analysis and document agreed project processes.
3. Configure and validate IFS Projects functionality to support customer planning, execution, monitoring and control needs.
4. Prepare process documentation, user manuals, configuration records, test scenarios and customer deliverables.
5. Coordinate with technical teams on reporting, integrations, data migration and related dependencies.
6. Participate across project phases from initiation and design through testing, cutover, go-live and hypercare.
7. Support customer testing and training, track issues to resolution and provide practical guidance to project users.
8. Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders and maintain alignment on scope, decisions, risks and next steps.
9. Collaborate with other functional consultants and project managers to deliver a joined-up solution.

What you will bring

1. Typically 4–8 years of overall experience, including 4–6 years of hands-on IFS Projects module experience.
2. At least one end-to-end IFS Projects implementation delivered; experience with further implementations is an advantage.
3. Strong understanding of project-based business processes and the ability to translate requirements into an IFS solution.
4. Experience with IFS Applications and/or IFS Cloud implementation, upgrade or support work.
5. Ability to lead workshops, document requirements, perform gap analysis and communicate solution choices clearly.
6. Experience supporting reporting, integrations, data migration, testing and go-live activities in coordination with technical teams.
7. Strong verbal, written and presentation skills, with a professional and customer-focused approach.
8. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
9. Ability to work independently on assigned workstreams and willingness to travel for customer engagements when required.

Helpful experience

1. Experience working on projects that integrate with IFS Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Maintenance.
2. Experience with IFS Cloud, project data migration, reporting or customer training.
