Senior Modern Trade Executive / Modern Trade Executive

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow sales within assigned Modern Trade (MT) accounts, ensuring strong relationships and consistent business development.
  • Ensure high product visibility, availability, and merchandising across all MT outlets.
  • Onboard new stakeholders/customers and build long-term relationships with SMMTs and other retail partners.
  • Frequently visit outlets and maintain positive relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to support brand positioning and gather feedback.
  • Ensure timely collection of payments from assigned customers in alignment with company credit terms.
  • Monitor account receivables and proactively address collection delays.
  • Analyze competitor products to understand market trends, product gaps, features, and performance.
  • Provide continuous feedback on competitor activities to guide strategic decisions.
  • Develop strong technical and practical knowledge of the company’s FMCG product lines.
  • Inform product development teams on potential improvements and evolving market needs.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to support campaigns that effectively reach the target market.
  • Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sales performance, market feedback, and outlet visits.
  • Track progress against KPIs and suggest process improvements where applicable.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Modern Trade sales, preferably within the Healthcare or FMCG industry.
  • Professional qualification in Sales & Marketing is an advantage.
  • Strong industry network, including relationships with Modern Trade (SMMT) and KOLs.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, collection follow-ups, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with a target-driven mindset.
