Senior Systems Engineer – Agile Delivery

Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer – Agile Delivery to play a key role in bridging the gap between technical engineering, agile processes, and business requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, software development, and cloud technologies, along with hands-on experience in Agile methodologies. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure technical excellence and efficient delivery within agile frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and customers to gather, analyze, and refine software requirements.

  • Ensure technical and business alignment of all requirements.

  • Translate business and user requirements into detailed technical specifications and user stories for the development team.

  • Ensure that all technical requirements adhere to system architecture principles

  • Act as a key contributor in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups.

  • Promote adherence to Agile principles, including “Ready Criteria” and “Definition of Done.”

  • Author and maintain clear and concise documentation for system requirements, technical designs, and agile process artifacts.

  • Ensure all deliverables are complete, tested, and shippable.

  • Manage product backlogs, sprint tracking, and reporting using JIRA.

  • Maintain project documentation and team collaboration materials using Confluence.

  • Work with architects and senior engineers to ensure requirements align with system architecture and design standards.

  • Contribute to system optimization and integration efforts across teams.

  • Act as the technical liaison between Software Development, QA, DevOps, and Product Management teams.

  • Facilitate smooth communication and alignment across all stages of the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in a Systems Engineer, Technical Analyst, or similar role.

  • Strong background in software development, with hands-on experience in Windows and Linux operating systems.

  • Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • Demonstrated experience working in an Agile development environment.

  • Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence for managing backlogs and documentation.

  • In-depth understanding of Agile principles, including “Ready Criteria” and “Definition of Done.”

  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.

  • Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, SAFe Agilist) preferred.

  • Previous experience as a software developer is a strong advantage
